GJ Gillespie Art Traveling Across Washington State 
GJ Gillespie piece accepted for the the Fiber Fusion Juried Exhibition 

"Forever Young" by GJ Gillespie will be one of art 54 works that will travel to four cities across Washington State as part of a show sponsored by the Surface Design Association. 88 artists submitted a total of 245 pieces.

Opening reception was in Richland's at Applied Arts on June 5th.

The show will then travel to Redmond in November, Port Townsend in January and Everett in March 2017.

"It is such an honor to join with collage and fiber artists across the country to share my passion for visual arts," says GJ Gillespie from his studio in Kirkland, WA.

"This piece is named after a song by Bob Dylan and is meant to communicate positive feelings of optimism and joy." 

The abstract expressionist work uses painted paper, tissue and spay paint he said.

In 2015 "Forever Young" was previously one of 80 selected out of 760 entries for the Light Space and Time“Abstracts” 2015 Art Exhibition

The Light Space Time gallery received 760 entries from 23 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. In addition, the gallery received entries from 35 different states.
